Gap Engineering has an IMMEDIATE NEED for an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Construction Designer with 5-10+ years of experience working on large petrochemical or refining construction projects. This is a full time position to begin immediately. The ideal candidate will have specific experience working in the field on process plant, refineries, petro-chem or similar chemical plant construction projects, but all large heavy industrial construction experience will be considered.
A BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or similar) is prefered, but not required. Candidates that have significant field experience is a plus. You will be responsible for coordinating all electrical & instrumentation construction efforts on the project by interfacing with the technical construction resources between the site contractor and Gap Engineering's engineering/procurement personnel to meet project specifications & schedules. Drafting skills are required and the ability to use Autocad is required. You will also be responsible for Quality Control documentation with respect to all electrical & instrumentation construction engineering activities on site. Position is open immediately and the position will be filled as soon as a qualified individual is found.
Ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project leadership as well as the ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices, as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion.
